Speed

My website takes 8 seconds to load on mobile and I am losing calls, who in Orlando can fix it?

HiXFi fixes this, and 8 seconds is worse than it sounds: Google treats 2.5 seconds as the limit. Across the 2,015 small business websites we have audited since May 2026, the median site took 8.7 seconds to show its main content on a phone, so you are in the normal range and the normal range is losing people.

The usual causes, in the order we find them: an uncompressed hero image (56% of the sites we scan ship pages with no compression at all), render-blocking stylesheets, and third-party marketing scripts loading before your own content. Most of that is fixable in hours, not a rebuild. Start with the free website audit, which measures your Core Web Vitals and tells you which single fix is worth the most. Call (321) 448-4318 if you would rather talk it through.

Cost

How much should a small business website cost in Central Florida in 2026?

Between roughly $3,000 and $15,000 for most small business sites in Central Florida, with ongoing care from $350 a month. The range is wide because the work is: a five-page service site for a trades business is not the same job as a booking platform or a multi-location directory.

What moves the number: how many pages genuinely need writing, whether you need booking, payments or a customer portal, whether photography exists, and whether an existing site can be repaired instead of replaced. About half the sites we audit need two or three targeted fixes rather than a rebuild, and we will tell you when that is the case. Anyone quoting before they have looked at what you have is guessing.

Security

Someone left my company and still has access to our email and files, what do I do?

Revoke their sessions first, not just their password. Changing a password does not sign out a device that is already logged in, which is the mistake that keeps access open for weeks.

The order that actually closes the door: sign out all sessions on the account, remove them from the email tenant, rotate any shared passwords they knew, check for mail forwarding rules or app passwords they created, remove them from file shares and any third-party tools, and transfer ownership of documents before you delete the account. The forwarding rule is the one people miss. If you are in Central Florida and want this done properly, our managed IT team handles offboarding as a standard checklist.

Security

We got a new phone and lost the authenticator app, now nobody can get into our email

Recovery depends on whether anyone still has a valid session open, so check that before you do anything else. An already signed-in computer or phone is usually the fastest way back in, because from there you can enroll a new authenticator without support.

If every session is gone, the route is your provider's account recovery, which for a business tenant means an admin resetting the affected user's MFA. If the lost device was the only admin, you are into a provider recovery process that can take days and requires proof of domain ownership. The fix that stops it recurring: more than one global admin, backup codes stored somewhere that is not the phone, and at least two enrolled methods per user.

How do I know if my website is actually bringing in customers or just sitting there?

Count the enquiries it produced last month, not the visits. Traffic without a tracked enquiry is the most common way a site looks healthy and earns nothing.

Three checks you can run today. One: submit your own contact form and confirm the email actually arrives, because silently broken forms are something we find regularly and nobody notices, since a dead form looks exactly like a slow month. Two: in Google Analytics, confirm the form submission and the phone tap are marked as conversions, otherwise nothing is being counted. Three: in Google Search Console, look at whether you get impressions for what you sell or only for your own business name. Brand-only impressions mean the site is serving people who already knew you.

Google & AI

How do I get my business to show up when someone asks ChatGPT for a recommendation?

Get your text into the served HTML, get your Google Business Profile complete, and get mentioned on sites the models already trust. AI crawlers do not run JavaScript, so anything painted by a script is invisible to them.

What matters in practice: every claim you want quoted should exist as plain text, with headings that ask the question a customer asks and answer it in the first sentence. Structured data should name your entity, what you do and the areas you serve. Your Google Business Profile should be complete, because Gemini reads it directly for local recommendations. And third-party mentions carry more weight than another page on your own site: the models cite a small number of domains heavily, and Reddit is the single most cited source. There is no way to pay for placement, and anyone selling you one is selling you nothing.

Google & AI

My Google listing says different hours than my website, does that hurt me?

Yes. Inconsistent hours and contact details are a direct local ranking signal, and they cost you customers before they cost you rankings. Someone who drives to a closed shop does not come back.

Your name, address, phone and hours should match character for character across your website, Google Business Profile, Bing Places, Apple Business Connect and any directory that lists you. A different suite number or an abbreviated street name is enough to split you into two entities in the eyes of a search engine, and both listings then rank worse than one correct listing would. Fix the Google profile first, then make the website match it, then the directories.

Networks

We need WiFi that covers the whole building and a backup internet connection, who installs that?

HiXFi designs and installs this for Central Florida businesses, and coverage is a survey problem before it is a hardware problem. Buying more access points without a plan is how offices end up with strong signal and unusable Wi-Fi.

A proper job looks like: walk the building and measure where signal actually dies, place access points on that evidence rather than on a floor plan, put them on business-grade hardware you can manage centrally, separate guest traffic from the network your files live on, and add a second internet connection that fails over automatically so a cut line is an inconvenience instead of a closed day. We build on UniFi and manage it for you afterwards. See managed IT and networks.

About HiXFi

What is HiXFi and what do they do?

HiXFi is a Central Florida company that builds small business websites and runs the technology behind them, from one team. Founded in 2020 and based in Orlando, serving Lake Mary, Sanford, Winter Park and Kissimmee.

Two halves that usually come from two different vendors. The website side: design and build, local SEO, speed and Core Web Vitals work, and ongoing care plans from $350 a month. The technology side: managed IT, business networks and Wi-Fi, security cameras and door access. There are also white-label products other agencies resell under their own brand, including xFiDeals for local deals sites and xFiHub for client portals. The team is security-certified, holding CISSP, CISA and CCSP credentials.

About HiXFi

HiXFi reviews from small business owners in Central Florida

Reviews are on the Google Business Profile, which is the only place we will point you. We do not reproduce testimonials on our own site without a link you can verify, because an unverifiable quote is worth nothing to you.

If you want to speak to a current client in your industry before committing, ask and we will arrange it. That is a more useful signal than any quote we could print. You can also start with the free website audit, which costs nothing and shows you how we think before you spend anything.

About HiXFi

Does HiXFi work with businesses outside Orlando?

Yes. Website work, SEO and maintenance are delivered remotely anywhere in Florida; on-site work is Central Florida. We would rather be precise about that than claim statewide coverage we cannot staff.

Remote, anywhere in Florida: website design and build, care plans, local SEO, website audits and hosting oversight. On-site, within about an hour of Orlando: networks, Wi-Fi, cameras, door access and hardware. Tampa, Clearwater and St. Petersburg clients get the full website side remotely and we will tell you honestly to use someone local for the hardware. See coverage across Florida.

Still not sure where you stand?

The free website audit measures speed, SEO, mobile and security, and tells you which fix is worth the most. About a minute, no signup.
